Christopher Brogan Company Director
Christopher Brogan is a member of The
Australian Association of Bush Regenerators and began
working as a bush regenerator in Western Sydney and the Lane
Cove River Valley in 1992.
From 1993 to
1999 he was contracted by Mosman Council to manage and
supervise their “Volunteer Bushcare Program”. This work
included supervising both community volunteers and council
outdoor staff in bushland reserves throughout the Mosman
Local Government Area including Beauty Point, Spit Reserve,
Mosman Bay, Sirius Cove, Quakers Hat Bay and Rosherville
Reserve.

Since 1997 Christopher has managed both small and
large scale ecological restoration contracts including:
- Revegetation of the Sydney Light Rail Corridor
at Pyrmont and Ultimo using locally native species
for the Sydney Light Rail Company, with an emphasis
upon habitat reconstruction for Superb Fairy Wrens (Malurus
cyaneus).
- Reconstruction of Cooks River Castlereagh
Ironbark Forest along the rail corridor between
Canterbury and Campsie Stations for Rail Corp
including extensive Blackberry control.
- Noxious and environmental weed control along the
Blue Mountains Railway Corridor from Emu Plains to
Lithgow for Rail Corp.
- Bush regeneration of Cooks River Castlereagh
Ironbark Forest, Turpentine Ironbark Forest, Sydney
Sandstone Gully Forest and Cumberland Plain Woodland
at various sites for Bankstown City Council.
- Bush regeneration and revegetation of Cooks
River Castlereagh Ironbark Forest at Pacific
National’s Intermodal Freight Terminal Chullora.
- Bush regeneration and reconstruction of Sydney
Coastal River Flat Forest and Cumberland Plain
Woodland at various sites along Brickmakers Creek
and Cabramatta Creek, and also at Riverside Park,
Chipping Norton, and Overett Reserve, Kemps Creek,
for Liverpool City Council.
- Blackberry and Willow control at Wingecarribee
Swamp for the Sydney Catchment Authority.
- Revegetation of the Brimstone Mine Oakdale for
the Sydney Catchment Authority.
- Revegetation of the Mt Riverview Sewerage
Treatment Plant for Sydney Water.
- Bush regeneration of Estuarine Paperbark Scrub
and Swamp Oak Forest at the Scarborough Park
Wetlands for Rockdale Council including Blackberry
and Pampas grass control.
